Born in Brazil and now based in Miami, Beathriz Marques is a self-taught abstract artist from São Paulo. Her creative journey has been shaped by curiosity, emotion, and lived experience. Having traveled through diverse cultures and landscapes, she draws inspiration from the invisible threads that connect us—our memories, longings, and the beauty found in the in-between.

Each painting is a dialogue between intuition and intention. Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media, Beathriz allows the materials to guide her process as she explores form, emotion, and movement on canvas.

Artist Statement:

I create to express what I cannot say. Painting is how I process life—its silence, chaos, softness, and strength. My process is spontaneous and emotionally charged, shaped by music, memory, and mood. I don’t follow a fixed method. I let feeling guide the brush. Through texture, layering, and subtle contrasts, my work invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and connect with something within themselves. My pieces often live in the space between light and shadow, between clarity and mystery—just like the human experience.
